5 Common Relationship Issues

So, let's talk about the common relationship issues that shakes the boat.

Common relationship issue #1: Communication

So both of you love your jobs and you will do anything to step up and be recognized. Nothing wrong with this, really but hey, don't you know that being caught up in too much work can sabotage your romantic relationship? This is when poor communication skills come in the picture. You can't communicate well with your partner when you are busy thinking about work or simply watching TV or checking your phone. Lack of communication is a relationship killer and your relationship can go down the drain as fast as lightning. How do you solve this issue?

Make time - yes, if you can actually make an appointment or set it in your calendar, then do so. It might sough ridiculous or funny but if you really want your relationship to survive, make time. A couple of minutes will make such a huge difference.

Draw the line - if you hate being interrupted when you're reading or your partner hates it when you interrupt him during a basketball game on TV, then draw the line there and stop badgering him or her with questions when he or she is doing those things. Talk about it so you won't fight over it.

Listen - this is a large part of communication. Don't just blabber about how your day went, how you think about that new girl from marketing, etc. Listen to what your partner has to say. Listening is very important!

Common relationship issues #2: Sex

So you found out that your partner doesn't strangle you for your satisfaction nor acts like a porn star during your intimate moments but this doesn't mean that you can't enjoy sex with your partner. Keep in mind that even both of you love each other so much, you can still be incompatible when it comes to sex. Even though both of you have different ways of having sex, both of you should definitely talk about it and compromise. Sex is very important because this brings both of you closer and this will keep the fire burning.

Common relationship issues #3: Money

Even though you are not yet married to your partner, money problems can start. It is always best that both of you stay honest regarding your financial situations. When there's a money problem, don't try to resolve it in the heat of battle. Don't fight over it but talk about it in a calm way. Nothing will be resolved with a heated argument because both of you will just feel frustrated and exhausted at the end of it.

Common relationship issues #4: Priorities

It is very important that you make your relationship the focal point of your life. This relationship is what makes you happy and makes you feel loved. Prioritize it and embrace it. In fact, this should be your first priority among other things. By setting your priorities, you will be able to avoid this certain problem. Date nights are very important and of course, respect.

Common relationship issues #5: Conflicts

These conflicts are inevitable, but if you and your partner are frequently fighting over these conflicts and can't seem to get over it, then it's probably time that you break free from that. Keep in mind that these conflicts can help in your relationship because you and your partner will learn how to argue in a more constructive manner.

Now that you're aware of the some of the common relationship issues, you are now armed with what you should do to avoid it from getting worse or better yet, avoid it from happening. However, knowing these issues doesn't guarantee you that you will have the best and smoothest relationship with your partner because a relationship without a few minor bumps along the way is guaranteed to be a very boring relationship.
