Best Mexican Restaurants for a Date in London

With so many different restaurants, locations and cuisines in London, the prospect of picking a place to take your date for dinner can often be a tricky business. Where do you start?

Well, some of London's Mexican restaurants make for a wonderful date venue. To help you and your date decide where to go, we've picked the most cheerful and hearty Mexican restaurants in the capital.

Wahaca

66 Chandos Place, WC2N 4HG

Just around the corner from the latter, Wahaca is a popular Mexican restaurant chain - and not without reason.

Wahaca makes for a great date venue for a number of reasons. Firstly, it's pretty laid back and is sure to help you both feel at ease. Secondly, it sits at the heart of London's vibrant Theatreland. And finally, the Wahaca menu features lots of little dishes, so it's a great opportunity to make dish decisions together and share the beautiful food!

We love the Cactus-Courgette taco! A crisp taco that oozes with flavoursome ingredients like diced cactus, sweet onions and a smattering of sumptuous grilled cheese!

Crazy Homies

125 Westbourne Park Road London W2 5QL

The quirkily named "Crazy Homies" is a fabulously bright and energetic Mexican restaurant in London's West End.

Transporting you and your date from the big smoke to the heart of Mexico, the food at Crazy Homies is made to order using authentic recipes inspired by street vendors and taquerias found throughout the country.

The menu at Crazy Homies boasts a lip-smacking array of delicious dishes. From melting pork picadillo quesadillas to fresh crab meat salads, as well as an enticing drinks menu filled with cocktails and Mexican beers - to wash down your meal, of course!

Daddy Donkey

100 Leather Lane London EC1N 7TE

If you and your date have a hankering for a bargain burrito, then this one's for you.

The stall is a real favourite with locals and visitors alike, yet still manages to keep the quality of their offerings consistent. We'd recommend the "Daddy B Burrito" which is packed with coriander-lime rice and marinated meats!

Nestled in the heart of London's East End, Daddy Donkey isn't a restaurant as such, but what it is is one of the best Mexican date venues in London!

Tortilla

Canary Wharf

The perfect place for a lunch date, Tortilla in Canary Wharf offers simple yet succulent food.

Pick what succulent meats and juicy veg you fancy in your burrito or fajita then tuck in. A word of warning though, it's difficult to maintain dignity while indulging here, so keep a napkin handy!

After lunch, why not take a stroll along the Thames Path to continue your date a little longer - if you like them, that is.
